- Q: How can we get someone to speak about UPRECO?
- A: Please use the contact link (at the top right corner of this webpage) to send an email with your request. We will make arrangements for a a speaker. If you wish to have someone from the UPRECO staff speak for your group, please let us know and we will convey your request to the Director of UPRECO. This may take a while because the staff of UPRECO are not often in the United States.
- Q: Who runs this website and how are they related to UPRECO?
- A: This website (http://upreco.org) is run by Friends of UPRECO, a group of people with connections and interest in UPRECO. We work together to support the work and ministry of UPRECO because we believe that a quality university-level education is one of the best long-term ways to help the people of Congo. Young women walk to the closest water source, a near-by spring, to get water. The walk is about 2 km (over a mile) each way. There is a pump at the spring to pump water to the campus but the pump cannot be run regularly because of the high cost of fuel.
Manioc is grown in university fields at UPRECO.
