Current UPRECO Needs

Current needs include:

  • A new dormitory for women
  • A new computer lab
  • Medical care for the students and faculty
  • Books and instructional equipment
  • 4 new classrooms and 80 student desks
  • The lack of water and electricity is a continuing problem
  • Scholarships for pastoral internships
  • Nutrition program at the Ndesha health center

Spring near Ndesha Spring near Ndesha, 2005. When power is available, the spring water is pumped to the university, about 1km away. When power is not available, water must be hand-carried to campus.
Student Jacquie supports her family Jacquie, a UPRECO student who is married and lives on campus with 4 children. Her husband works far away so she cooks palm oil to make money to live.
